Jason Mudd, APR
Founder
Jason Mudd is an award-winning, internationally accredited public relations (APR) consultant.
He owns AXIA, a boutique media relations firm specializing in earning favorable regional and national news media coverage for publicly-traded and privately-held companies.
His current and previous client list includes Fidelity National Information Services (NYSE:FIS), H&R Block (NYSE:HRB), Hilton (NYSE:HLT), HP (NYSE:HPQ), Macquarie Group (ASX:MBL), Modis, MPS Group (NYSE:MPS), New York Life Insurance Company, Pizza Hut (NYSE:YUM), Ray Charles, Rayonier (NYSE:RYN), Synovus (NYSE:SNV), Tarmac (ATHEX:TITK) and Verizon (NYSE:VZ).
Originally a journalist, Jason graduated from the acclaimed University of Missouri journalism school with a bachelor's degree in journalism. After a stint as a PR consultant to what is now Arm & Hammer's Clean Shower, Jason joined what is now NuVox Communications as its marketing director and a shareholder. Next, he produced and promoted the Emmy-winning televised Florida Sports Awards, the then-official statewide sports award show for the state of Florida, awarding Jaspers to the state's top professional and amateur athletes during a black-tie, prime-time show televised on Sun Sports and Florida NBC affiliate televisions stations. The show was also the major fundraiser for the Otis F. Smith Kids Foundation. While at the Jaspers, Jason worked with key sponsors and all the Florida professional teams and tours, including General Motors and Wachovia, Florida Marlins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Heat, Miami Sol, Miami Dolphins, Orlando Magic, Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and ATP Tour, LPGA Tour, NASCAR, PGA Tour and WTA Tour.
In his personal time, Jason enjoys running, playing golf and spending time with his preschool-aged children. He is a leader with Grace Community Church, a mission church of the Presbyterian Church in America.
